Jazmine G. Perez
I am the laboratory technician and a research assistant, with an interest in sleep architecture and locomotor activity variation among mice models of disease. I primarily focus on the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN), or master clock, and its modulation of Primary Motor Cortex (PMC) signaling associated with wheel-running behavior. I recently graduated from the UW with a B.S. in Physiology and a B.A. in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. I am currently applying to medical school, and I am interested in Psychiatry, specifically, in the relationship between our social environment and mental disorders.
